Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

 

A Phase II, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multicenter study in women with hormone receptor-positive, endocrine therapy naïve, metastatic breast cancer to compare the efficacy of AZD8931 in combination with anastrozole vs anastrozole plus placebo.

Tumor type:

Metastatic breast cancer

Purpose:

To determine if the combination of AZD8931 with anastrozole is more effective in treating hormone receptor-positive, endocrine therapy naïve, metastatic breast cancer compared to anastrozole alone.

Primary endpoint:

Progression-free survival

Secondary endpoints:

Safety and tolerability, objective tumor response rate, overall survival, duration of response, clinical benefit rate, time to documented disease progression, pharmacokinetics and health-related quality of life.
